So many things have changed since people have been advised to stay indoors. Friendships have changed, and families have been separated. Plus, even some of the most beloved celebrities have managed to reveal their dark side. One of the celebrities who’s had the worst year of all is Ellen DeGeneres.
Once seen as a lighthearted daytime host and comedian, people’s perception of Ellen has radically changed this year. For one, there’ve been rumors that the host isn’t as kind as she portrays on television. And, it’s not just a bad day — she’s reportedly even treated her bodyguards with little respect.
While many celebrities in her position have tried hard to make sure their staff is taken care of during these shutdowns, Ellen has also reportedly done the opposite. These days, she’s filming at home. Her former staff was left in the dark about pay, and another crew was brought in. And, let’s not forget that she compared her mansion to a “jail,” when a majority of her fanbase have it much worse.
These stories, along with her changed format, might be why Ellen’s ratings are falling. And, it looks like the network is taking notice.
