Sara Gilbert has filed for separation from her wife of 5 years, Linda Perry. Sara and Linda were married in May 2014, after a proposal that Sara described as “amazing.”
Little is known about the details surrounding the separation, but Sara was spotted out and about over the weekend and wasn’t wearing her wedding ring. The two are moms to their four-year-old son, Rhodes Emilio Gilbert Perry. Sara also has two children with her ex-wife, Allison Adler, who she was married to for 10 years before their split in 2011.
Sara and Linda worked together on a few creative pursuits, including their children’s album, Deer Sounds. At the time of its release in 2015, they said that their son was the biggest inspiration for the music, and that it was something they both had wanted to do for some time. Sara shared, “Even on our first date, Linda was talking about [writing a children’s album]. So I always wanted that to happen.”
