The entire world has been waiting for this moment. Firstly, because we’re obsessed with all things royal, and secondly because we haven’t had a good enough look at Baby Archie. He’s been a bit camera shy in is first few weeks. But, luckily for us his private baptism ceremony happened over the weekend and the photos from the event are stunning. The christening event was led by the Archbishop of Canterbury in the private chapel at Windsor Castle. Sounds fancy!
Meghan and Harry put a smile on all our faces by releasing not one, but two official photos of baby Archie. He looks so peaceful and sweet in his christening regalia. One thing Meghan and Harry did not release however, is the identities of Archie’s godparents. Looks like we’ll have to wait awhile to find out which well-heeled celeb is up for the job. Could it be Oprah, Serena Williams or Elton John? Any of these people would make fantastic godparents, we’re sure of it!
In attendance at the christening were Meghan Markle’s mom, Doria Raglan, Prince Charles, Camilla Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William, Kate Middleton and the late Princess Diana’s two older sisters Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes. Everybody was dressed to the nines and Meghan Markle stunned in a gorgeous Dior outfit and Kate Middleton paid homage to Diana by wearing a pink Stella McCartney dress paired with the same earrings that Princess Diana wore to Prince Harry’s Christening.
