Jessi always thought gender reveals were a silly tradition. Then she planned one for her sister… and it only validated how much she dislikes them.
Jessi’s older sister is pregnant and asked her to plan her gender reveal surprise. Nothing too over the top, but something fun that would provide for some great photos.
The only two people who knew the baby’s gender (a girl) were the couple’s doctor and Jessi.
Jessi bought a bunch of cannons and specifically ordered pink confetti inside. “When the time came for my sister and her husband to pop the cannons, I gave my phone to my dad to record what should have been an explosion of pink confetti while I bent down in the grass with my camera ready to get some memorable shots for them,” she told Newsflare.
It wasn’t until the expecting couple popped the cannons — shooting a burst of blue confetti into the air — that Jessi realized something had gone very awry.
The dad-to-be was so excited by the prospect of having a son that he started cheering and doing celebratory laps around the yard.
In the midst of the excitement and confusion, Jessi had to break the news — that the confetti popper company made a big mistake.
“Yes, a few tears were shed (by me), but in the end, all anyone could do was laugh about it.”
