It continues to be an unfortunate trend across the country: porch pirates who go around stealing packages off people’s doorsteps. But the good thing is that technology is also here to help homeowners combat the senseless thefts.
Carla Ford, a school counselor from Oklahoma City, was at home in her pajamas when a Jeep pulled up to her house.
The woman inside the vehicle stepped out and wandered up to Carla’s front door. At first, it appeared as though she was making a delivery as she dropped a fast food bag down on the steps.
But seconds later, the unnamed woman picked up Carla’s Amazon package (which had been delivered just a few minutes prior) and attempted to flee.
The theft was captured on Carla’s home security camera… and so was this no-nonsense mom’s response to the unwelcome porch pirate.
The robber never expected Carla to turn the tables and come bursting out of her home, especially on what was the coldest, snowiest day of the year.
And especially not with bare feet and her PJs…
