Some weekend horror reminders:

— Friday (July 31) is the last night to watch the original masterpiece that is Candyman (1992) before it leaves Netflix. If you haven’t been living under a rock you know that Jordan Peele wrote a sequel. It will be in theaters whenever movies start getting released in theaters again.

— You may have heard a familiar name on the Crime Junkie podcast! Jim Goad’s research on the Smiley Face Killer theory he did for Creepy Catalog was used for their Smiley Face Killer show. Give the episode a listen here.

— See if there are any drive-in movie theaters left in your area. Since new movie releases are delayed due to Covid-19, many theaters are playing old favorites. It’s the perfect way to enjoy an activity outside of the house while staying safe in your own car bubble. Here’s a list of drive-in movie theaters by state you can check.

Only 92 days until Halloween! Check back next week for scary movie recs, or sign up for the Creepy Catalog newsletter and get picks delivered to your inbox every Friday.
