Manchester City vs. Lyon: Preview, starting lineup, odds

Manchester City triumphed over Real Madrid in the previous round, which may now in retrospect have been the easiest quarterfinal matchup. With Sergio Agüero out with a knee injury, manager Pep Guardiola will have to rely on Gabriel Jesus at striker. On his best days, he’s certainly up for it.

Lyon already pulled off an upset of Juventus in the Round of 16. Its seventh-place finish in Ligue 1 means it needs to win the tournament to return to the Champions League next season. Look for Lyon, playing with house money at this point, to let it ride on Netherlands international Memphis Depay.

Odds

According to BetMGM, as of August 14:

  • Manchester City: -450 (bet $450 to win $100)
  • Lyon: +1050 (bet $100 to win $1050)
  • Draw (through 90 minutes): +525
