Acne is never fun, but it’s typically not a big deal. Everybody gets pimples from time to time, but rarely do they turn into something more serious.
Some people use medicated creams to deal with acne, but others just let them be. Usually a pimple will resolve itself and go away after a few days.
Once in a while, though, pimples don’t just go away. Often, these pimples are actually deeper epidermoid cysts, sebaceous cysts, or dilated pores of Winer (basically really big blackheads).
One man in Hanoi, Vietnam, didn’t realize he had a pimple building up in his back for 10 years. He had some discomfort, but he didn’t know what was causing it.
He went to the dermatologist complaining of back pain, and the doctor realized the source of the irritation was actually a pimple.
The doctor spent four minutes trying to get the enlarged pimple out of the man’s back. He used his fingers, a cotton swab, and some tweezers to remove the contents of the cyst. Although the area bled a little bit, the doctor was gentle with the man’s skin.
Eventually, the doctor was able to completely get rid of the cyst and relieve the man’s pain and discomfort.
