After much anticipation and hype, the fight between Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather Jr. is finally confirmed for June 6th at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Alongside the announcement yesterday, the internet has jumped on the news with speculation, debates and memes across nearly every platform.

Although some thought it would never actually happen, the Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul fight is finally going to happen, with June 6th as the date and Hard Rock Stadium in Miami as the place. This fight will be an interesting one, as both Mayweather and Paul are more than a year removed from the boxing ring. Mayweather’s last fight was an exhibition match in 2018, and Paul’s last fight was his loss to KSI in 2019.

Early reception to the announcement is that Floyd is going to have the easiest dub of his career, with many people calling for a first-round knockout. This concern doesn’t appear to only exist among the fans, with Paul later tweeting that his own mother is scared for him.

While even his own mother is scared for his well-being, which given the recent injury suffered by Chris Weidman is a reasonable concern, there is always the chance for an upset to happen. No matter the result, it is very likely that this will be among the highest viewed boxing matches in recent history.
