Keanu Reeves has always been a heartthrob, but the Keanu adoration has reached a fever pitch in recent weeks. He’s humble, surprisingly wise, and also — according to some fans — a “respectful king.”
Fans started calling Keanu a respectful king after they noticed how he takes photos with women. A lot of men wrap their arms around women for photos and get uncomfortably close. But not Keanu!
Instead, he keeps his hands to himself — at his side, in his pocket, or hovered above the woman’s waist without touching them. He does this no matter who he’s posing with, whether a female co-star, a fan, or a fellow celebrity like Dolly Parton.
Keanu’s new “respectful king” status became a trending topic on Twitter.
“This should be how it’s done unless ya know the woman doesn’t mind being touched,” one fan wrote. “Keanu should inspire us all.”
“He’s being respectful and I’m here for it!!” another wrote.
Keanu doesn’t just do this when he’s posing with women, either. He also has the same approach to photos with men. He’s just an all-around respectful guy with great boundaries, apparently!
In an interview with ET, Keanu found out about his new title, and his reaction was charming. He said that it’s been “nice” to be appreciated and embraced by so many fans.
“It’s nice when it’s nice,” Keanu said.
