Katy Perry has a lot to celebrate right now. The singer and her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, have recently welcomed their first child together, daughter Daisy. Katy also recently released her newest album and spent weeks preceding her daughter’s birth engaged in a promotional tour.
One of her interviews was with 60 Minutes Australia, and Katy was asked about her fourteen-month-long marriage to comedian and actor Russell Brand. The two got married in 2010 and ended up divorcing a year later.
Katy shared that the time period was really busy and exciting for her professionally, but that she definitely felt she was experiencing too much all at the same time. “I was having great success at 23, 24, and 25 and then I met someone that was interesting and stimulating. It was just like a tornado, it was everything happening at once.”
She also said that even though things were a little chaotic, she really loved Russell. “He’s a very smart man, and I was in love with him when I married him.”
