Josh Fight Goes Down In Nebraska As Little Josh Claims Victory

The long-fabled Josh Swain Fight went down last Saturday at Air Park in Lincoln, Nebraska, and the winner was, unsurprisingly, Josh Swain.

For context, on April 24th, 2020, Arizona college student Josh Swain messaged every other Josh Swain on Facebook and challenged them to a duel where the winner would be declared the “One True Josh Swain.” The duel, according to him, would take place at Air Park in Nebraska on April 24th, 2021.

Though the challenge may have seemed like a silly internet gag that would never happen (a la the joke Area 51 raid), remarkably, the Josh Swain fight went down exactly as planned. Hundreds of people showed up for the Josh Swain fight, which, over the course of the past year, went from a fight between “Josh Swains” to any attendees named Josh.

Festivities kicked off with a tense rock-paper-scissors match between Arizona’s Josh Swain and a Josh Swain from Omaha, Nebraska. After three draws in the epic duel, Arizona’s Swain threw rock while Omaha’s Swain threw scissors, making Arizona’s Swain, the fight’s instigator and organizer, the One True Josh Swain.

What followed was an epic pool noodle fight between all Josh’s in attendance. While it is unclear how exactly he did it, 4-year-old Josh Vinson Jr., aka “Little Josh” was declared the champion of the noodle fight. He received a Burger King crown and was held aloft for all other Joshes to bow to.

The silly, extremely wholesome event also had a charitable angle. The Joshes donated 200-300 pounds of food for the Food Bank of Lincoln and raised over $8,000 for the Children’s Hospital and Medical Center Foundation in Omaha.

If there was ever an event that epitomized the mantra Dudes Rock, this was it.
