Jessa Seewald (née Duggar) and her husband Ben Seewald just welcomed their third baby! Their baby girl, Ivy Jane Seewald, was born at home on Sunday, May 26. The couple revealed the big news to Us Weekly on May 28, saying, “We’re so grateful to God for this precious gift. She is already so loved. Her big brothers adore her!” The Counting On stars are already parents to 3-year-old Spurgeon and 2-year-old Henry.
Ben, 23, and Jessa, 26, tied the knot on November 1, 2014. They announced they were expecting their first child just a few months later and welcomed Spurgeon Elliot Seewald on November 5, 2015 (just four days after their first anniversary).
On February 6, 2017, Jessa gave birth to their second baby boy, Henry Wilberforce Seewald. Ben and Jessa absolutely loved being parents to their two little boys, but they always wanted more kids.
When Jessa’s sister Jinger welcomed her baby girl, Felicity, Jessa admitted that she had baby fever. She couldn’t wait to have another baby.
Jessa and Ben announced on January 9, 2019, that they were expecting their third child. At the end of January, Jessa shared a photo of her sonogram. On February 21, at 25 weeks pregnant, Jessa shared the first photo of her baby bump.
On April 5, at 31 weeks pregnant, Jessa shared on Instagram another image of her baby bump and wrote:
“Definitely a bit bigger than I was at this point in my pregnancy with Henry (who was born 8lbs 11oz), but smaller than I was with Spurgeon (who was born 9lbs 11oz). What can I say— those Duggar genes grow ‘em big.
Besides the twins, my mom had all 8-9lb babies for the first half, and then 7-8lb babies for the second half. Most of the grand babies have been in the 8-9lb range so far, and one was a little over 10lb!
Now Ben and Jessa have welcomed their third baby! Congrats to the Duggar and Seewald families.
