Oof, this has been quite a rough year for Jersey Shore star Jenni “JWoww” Farley.
Earlier this year, Jenni filed for divorce from her husband of three years, Roger Mathews. And while it looked like they were trying to work on their relationship for the sake of their kids, things took an ugly turn after Roger posted a series of videos on his Instagram page — one from the back of a police car — while ranting about his estranged wife. He was ultimately served a restraining order.
And now another ex is trying to cash in on JWoww’s drama. Police say that Jenni’s ex, Thomas Lippolis, contacted her PR team and demanded $25,000 from the reality star, threatening to release “secrets” to the public if his demands weren’t met.
Police were contacted, and after an investigation, Tom was arrested on third-degree extortion.
Jenni and Tom dated nearly 10 years ago, and fans were able to watch some of their tumultuous relationship play out on camera. After a messy breakup in 2010, Tom moved out of the house they shared, leaving JWoww’s two dogs locked in without any air conditioning or ventilation (on 100+ degree days, at that) and to fend for themselves. He also stole hard drives, among other personal items of hers, and changed the locks on the door so she couldn’t get in.
