According to the short @dayanna.rodas clip, she didn’t recognize she was speaking to a celebrity at the restaurant until she reviewed the security cam footage. Sandler can be seen receiving the news and casually leaving the restaurant, because, as @dayanna.rodas pointed out, “of course he’s not gonna wait 30 minutes for IHOP.”
Despite her regret at not recognizing Sandler, TikTok users praised her for giving the regular-person treatment to a major celebrity—and Sandler for evidently treating the situation like a regular person.
