With iOS 14, you can add photo widgets using the photo library on your iPhone or iPad. But that gives you limited control over what photos show on your widget.
There is a custom photo widget app that allows you to assign exactly what photos you want to show on your iPhone home page inside of the widget.
With the photo widget app, you can assign 30 pictures and even rotate through them automatically with a set timer, like a slideshow.
