Back in 2017, Camryn Clifford (née Turner) created her YouTube channel, Cam & Fam, to chronicle her experience as a pregnant teenager. In the years since she began vlogging, she welcomed daughters Collette Briar and Delilah, and she wed the girls’ father, Landon Clifford, in June of 2019.
While the Cam & Fam content is generally light in nature, Camryn returned from a social media hiatus in August of 2020 to announce that Landon had passed away at the age of 19.
Camryn said that Landon Clifford “died saving the lives of others.”
After taking a “step back from social media” for her mental health, Camryn returned to Instagram on Aug. 22 to confirm that Landon had died. She posted a photo with her hand on Landon’s chest while he was in the hospital.
“August 13th 2020 was Landon’s last day being the best dad and husband he could be. After spending the following 6 days in a coma he passed on and donated several organs to people in need all over the country. He died saving the lives of others. That’s the type of person he was. Compassionate, loving, thoughtful, kind, and gentle,” she wrote. “He was an amazing husband and the best father those girls could of [sic] ever asked for.”
“It saddens me deeply that they will never get to truly know him. He was so young and had so much more life to live. This isn’t how things were supposed to go. He was meant to make it to his next birthday,” she continued. “He was meant to walk his daughters down the isle [sic]. He was meant to die old with me.”
“Words can not come close to describe the pain I feel. All I can do now is make sure our girls know how much he loved us. He’s looking down on us from heaven and his light will shine through the clouds when we look up at him,” she concluded her caption. “May he rest peacefully.”
Camryn did not confirm what exactly happened to her husband. On Aug. 23, Camryn posted a photo with four friends, and she confirmed that they were commemorating Landon’s legacy.
“Today we celebrate his life,” she wrote in her caption.
