Hoda Kotb is growing her little family!
Hoda and boyfriend Joel Schiffman have adopted another little girl, Hope Catherine. Their new addition joins 2-year-old daughter Haley Joy. The couple adopted Haley in 2017.
The path to parenthood was difficult for Hoda. Following her cancer battle in 2007, she was left unable to conceive on her own. Shortly after her recovery, she and first husband Burzis Kanga split. Hoda wasn’t sure where her dreams of motherhood would fit into her life until she broached the subject with boyfriend Joel Schiffman in 2017. Joel was on board, and it was just a matter of months before they brought Haley home.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the studio as Hoda shared the details about welcoming Hope home.
“You know what’s funny? You think that you’re full,” Hoda explained to her Today co-hosts. “That’s exactly how I felt with Haley and Joel and everything. Joel and I were standing there when they hand you the baby, and it’s the closest thing to a live birth you’ll ever see, but in that moment I was like, ‘Oh my God, my heart just grew.’”
