Vanessa Kalinowski met Cameron West when they were both teenagers attending Bella Vista High School in Fair Oaks, California.
Vanessa and Cameron dated for a few months, but the high school sweethearts broke up — only to reconnect later on in life.
The year after rekindling their romance, Cameron proposed. Vanessa was so happy to be engaged to the man of her dreams.
As far as she was concerned, their love story was a real-life fairytale.
But her world came crashing down when Cameron suddenly passed away in June 2019. He was 50 years old.
Life was so hard without Vanessa’s fiancé by her side.
But then, five months after Cameron died, Vanessa received an alert on her phone — and she heard the sound of a very familiar and very specific ringtone.
“Okay, nobody else has that tone. That can’t be,” she said to herself.
Vanessa was speechless; the message was from coming Cameron.
And as it turned out, she wasn’t the only one receiving text messages months after they were supposedly sent.
