Fans Are Petitioning To Make Keanu Reeves Time’s Next ‘Person Of The Year,’ Because Obviously

Keanu Reeves is certainly having a MOMENT lately! The 54-year-old actor recently made headlines after fans noticed how he politely poses with women in photos; however, if you’re a true Keanu fan, you know that he’s always been a wildly underrated treasure in the entertainment industry.

Thanks to a petition on Change.org started by Keanu fan Jackson Beem, over 72,000  people (at the time of this publication) agree that Time Magazine should name Keanu Reeves their next Person of the Year. It’s a prestigious title, as big names like Barack Obama, Mark Zuckerberg, and Pope Francis have all been named Person of the Year before.

The petition reads, “Keanu is the most wholesome person alive, make him the person of the year! Keanu has secretly donated millions of his earnings to children’s hospitals and other charities, and has done amazing things for people in public while ask for nothing in return.”

The man has a point! Keanu is actually one of the most philanthropic celebrities out there; he’s set up a cancer charity, worked with and supported PETA, The SickKids Foundation, and Stand Up To Cancer, among many other charities. He has also been quoted saying, “Money is the last thing I think about. I could live on what I have already made for the next few centuries.”

If you want to help try and get Keanu on the cover of Time as the Person of the Year, check out the petition and sign!
