People are always excited to meet a new addition to the family. When that new addition happens to be seventh in the line of succession to the throne, that excitement intensifies. Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born to proud parents Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on May 6, 2019. The world got to meet Harry and Meghan’s firstborn just days later. Since then, the family of three has been laying low.
But it seems that quite a few people have already gotten the pleasure of meeting Archie in private. Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, was reportedly present for his birth. She was also there when Harry and Meghan introduced Archie to Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip following their photocall with the newborn. For the rest of that week, the family stayed to themselves. Royal commentator Omid Scobie told Good Morning America, “Harry and Meghan’s first week at home with Archie was all about bonding as a family, but since then Frogmore Cottage has been a revolving door of excited friends and family meeting their baby for the first time.”
The following week held even more visitors for Archie. He got to meet the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. There’s no word on whether his cousins George, Charlotte, and Louis also visited. Baby Archie also reportedly got to meet the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall.
With much of the immediate family out of the way, that leaves the couples friends. Cosmopolitan reports that Serena Williams, husband Alexis Ohanian, and daughter Olympia secretly visited baby Archie before heading to Paris for the French Open. Marie Claire also reports that Meghan’s best friend, Jessica Mulroney, was spotted toy shopping with daughter Ivy in Windsor, which sounds a lot like a visit is in the works.
It’s a busy first month for the newest royal baby, but it sure sounds like a lot of fun!
