In 2018, KB Strawder Jr. and his brother surprised their mom with her first trip to New York City. This year, they decided to do something equally special for their dad.
For his Father’s Day gift, these amazingly kindhearted sons secretly bought their dad tickets to see Janet Jackson live in Las Vegas.
KB filmed the moment his dad received the tickets and uploaded it to Twitter. Dad was so excited to realize he was two months away from seeing one of his all-time favorite artists in person.
The video gained some traction with 10,000 likes — but an even bigger surprise was just around the corner.
The Strawders headed off to Vegas in August and were lucky enough to be able to go backstage after the concert. While standing in the hallway, Dad got the opportunity to tell a cameraman exactly what Janet means to him. “I’ve been a fan for years,” he beamed. “That was a highlight for me, just seeing her onstage.”
And that’s when Dad heard a soft yet distinct voice whispering directly into his ear.
“That’s really sweet, I’m glad,” the woman softly said.
