Following the address, Twitter users were quick to poke fun at the appearance of the pair. Many joked that the pair looked like disapproving parents ready to give their child a stern talking-to. For example, Twitter user @AdamWeinstein made such a joke, gaining over 820 retweets and 4,400 likes (shown below, left). User @NickBarnacle made a similar joke, gaining over 230 retweets and 1,100 likes (shown below, right).

User @McJesse posted a photoshop of the pair as Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon from a Saturday Night Live sketch, gaining over 220 retweets and 1,800 likes (shown below, left). User @neontaster photoshopped the pair into famous painting “American Gothic,” gaining over 3,500 retweets and 13,000 likes (shown below, right).
