Don’t mess with her cats!
A woman in Florida allegedly pulled a gun on another woman who complained about her feeding stray cats in the neighborhood.
Lisa Saunders, 55, lives in Orange County, Florida. For the past two years, she’s been regularly leaving cat food out for the stray cats in her area.
After another woman saw Lisa drop some food off, she confronted Lisa and asked her to stop feeding the cats. The other woman claims that the food attracts sick cats. She later told police that she was worried that children in the neighborhood would get scabies from the sick animals. (If that idea alarms you as much as it did me, some quick Googling shows that it is not possible.)
Lisa responded by pulling a gun from her car and saying, “Don’t f*** with me,” according to authorities. She then got back into her car and drove away.
Police arrested Lisa after the woman reported her to the police. The same woman had repeatedly complained to police and the Orange County Animal Control department about Lisa. The department had reportedly tried to trap the sick cats, but they couldn’t because Lisa fed the cats away from the traps.
Lisa now faces an Aggravated Assault with a Firearm charge. She is in jail on a $10,000 bond.
