David Hritco, the restaurant’s manager, recently received a call from one of his busboys. The busboy said he had tested positive for COVID-19 and could not come in to work.
David was instantly concerned over the health and wellbeing of his entire staff, and about his own health, too.
Timbers was forced to close down as a result of the busboy’s claims, and the timing could not have been worse — not only did the shutdown happen during the second busiest weekend of the year, but it also had to cancel a wedding rehearsal party.
But as it turned out, the busboy never had COVID-19.
Since the busboy has confessed to his lie, David is now speaking out about the young man’s mistake that he says cost his restaurant tens of thousands of dollars.
