To us mere mortals, she’s Queen Bey. To her daughter, she’s just mom. While we totally think of Beyonce as being pretty much the coolest, most amazing woman and musician ever, her 8-year-old daughter has no trouble calling her out for being a regular mom, cracking mom-jokes. Like we all do.
Beyonce just made a virtual appearance at the 2020 Wearable Art Gala. During the appearance, Bey cracked an adorable joke while in a hooded sweatshirt and looking cozy and casual. But ya know who didn’t think it was funny? Her daughter, Blue Ivy. LOLz.
“Why does Snoop Dog need an umbrella?” Beyonce asked the camera before pausing and responding, “Fo Drizzle.”
Blue Ivy covered her mom’s mouth and told her, “Mom… no… the voice.” Beyonce looked a little stunned by the critique, but hey, she’s a professional.Well, Bey. We liked it!
It seems like Queen Bey has another critic, too — her mother, Tina, who cohosted the event, had some words for her daughter. She asked her if she could maybe, ya know, present herself a little better. “Could you just put on some makeup and get in some good light? … I mean, it’s the gala, girl.”
Beyonce followed her mama’s instructions and appeared back onscreen, totally glammed up to deliver her joke.
