Joshua Lane is a husband, father, and longshoreman from California. He and his family recently went shopping so that Joshua could buy a movie projector for his two young kids.

While browsing the aisles, Joshua noticed he was being followed by security. In the effort to quell any doubts, Joshua told the security worker he was just a regular working dad and pulled out a picture of his loving family.

He then moved to a different aisle — which only led to more people following him and closely watching his every move.

He said this happened at least three different times in three different aisles.

Joshua took out his cell phone and began recording as an unidentified white woman called someone on the phone. “He’s being hostile and threatening,” she told the person on the other end of the line.

However, it’s clear from the video that he was not being hostile or threatening.

The woman reportedly then asked Joshua to leave the store, but before he could even exit a police officer arrived and told him to leave and not come back, or else he’d be arrested for trespassing.

Joshua and his family are now speaking out about the incident, calling it yet another troubling example of racial profiling.
