Bachelor in Paradise star Jade Roper Tolbert delivered her second child in a way she’d never imagined. She welcomed her baby boy in the closet of her master bedroom at home. She posted a picture to Instagram of herself holding her newborn surrounded by family, emergency responders, and her shoe collection.
“I accidentally gave birth at home last night, in our master closet,” she captioned the photo. “I’ve been still processing the shock of this all, as this was not all at what I had planned, but I am so so thankful for each person who helped bring our son into the world safely.”
Jade went on to explain that her water broke, and just over an hour later the baby had arrived. It was, of course, a terrifying moment for Jade. Thankfully, she had her support system around her.
“It was one of the scariest moments of my life because I felt so out of control,” she said. “But Tanner, Tanner’s mom, my mom, and the medics and firefighters kept me going when I felt like the world was caving in on me and my unborn baby.”
Bachelor host Chris Harrison chimed in. He commented on the post, writing, “Now that’s the most dramatic delivery ever.”
Thankfully, mom and baby are doing well. Jade and Tanner named him Brooks Easton Tolbert. He joins older sister Emmy.
