Origin
On June 30th, 2020, Twitter user @status tweeted the phrase with a picture of the character Marge Simpson from the film The Simpsons looking stressed (shown below).
Spread
Over the next 24 hours, people continued to share images and GIFs of people standing up to a challenge. Twitter user @Ninety7Bravo, for example, posted an image of Jedis from the Star Wars multimedia franchise (shown below, left).
Throughout the week, others shared variations of the meme (shown below, center and right).
On July 1st, Twitter user @LifeOfEdgard posted a variation with SpongeBob SquarePants that received more than 13,000 likes and 3,200 retweets in less than one week (shown below).
