When you’re alone in the comfort of your home, you’d like to think you’re completely safe. Sadly, we keep hearing more and more stories about families having their webcams hacked by strangers.
Ashley LeMay of Mississippi bought the Ring home camera system during a Black Friday sale. She heard about it from another mother who gave it rave reviews. With her eight-year-old daughter’s history of seizures, Ashley wanted to take every precaution to make sure she was monitored.
Just four days after installing the camera, Ashley’s daughter Alyssa was in her bedroom when things took a strange and disturbing turn.
Out of nowhere, weird music started playing from the security camera. Then, a man’s voice began directly addressing Ashley’s daughter as she stood there confused, trying to figure out who was speaking and where the voice was coming from.
At first, Alyssa thought it was her dad — but he was out in the garage at the time and couldn’t even hear her.
Things grew more and creepy while the hacker tried conversing with the scared young girl.
Finally, Ashley’s husband heard Alyssa yell, “Mommy, mommy!” and came running in from the garage.
Ashley and her husband ultimately disabled the camera — but they still get the chills whenever they watch the following footage…
