Brady Singer, 22, was recently drafted by the Kansas City Royals. The talented young athlete earned over four million dollars for signing on with the major league baseball team.

And Brady knew exactly what he wanted to do with his signing bonus.

“Today is very special to my heart,” he wrote on Twitter. “To give back to the two people who have given up everything to support my brother and I.”

In the now-viral clip, Brady’s mom, Jacquelyn, starts reading his heartfelt letter aloud. His dad, Brett, sits beside her at the kitchen table, taking in the words:

Dear Mom and Dad, I just want to say ‘Thank you’ for everything you’ve done to help me reach my dreams.

There’s absolutely no way I could have done all this by myself. Both of you constantly took off of work and spent every dime you made just to put a smile on my face.

To give back to the two people who have given up everything to support my brother and I.

The money you both spent on traveling, gear, hotel, food and all those Gatorades I drank is much more than I could ever give you, but there’s something I want to give to you.

Then came the real surprise… and it’s no wonder why Jacquelyn and Brett are driven to tears.
