It’s pretty pointless to try to hide that each of us has had a horrible date at least once in our lives. It’s ok if both of you didn’t feel “a thing” going on between you. However, there are times when people find themselves in situations when the only question is, “Really?! Where do you even find people like that?”
Bright Side had some healthy laughs while crafting this article and now we think it might be easier for us to cope with failed dates.
Bonus: A story about the best “worst” date
I was a waiter in a cafe and was serving food to a guy who was waiting for his blind date to show up. The girl showed up 30 minutes late and she was… far from beautiful and overweight.
I got an “oh well” look from the guy when she was in the bathroom. While they were having dinner, there was a conversation where they were both smiling. At the end of the meal, he paid the whole bill.
I caught the guy right before they were about to leave. I was really curious if he was seriously ok with being set up with someone so obviously not in his “dating demographic.” So I asked how his meal and the date went. He laughed and said not great. I noted that they seemed to be having a good time.
The guy replied: “That girl probably has never been on a date where the guy actually paid and was genuinely nice. Why wouldn’t I be a gentleman? My friends are mean, but she did nothing wrong and deserves to be treated like a beauty every now and then.”
