What a way to start the New Year…
Lynn Sarver and her roommate spent their New Year’s Eve watching TV on the couch, where they dozed off for the rest of the night.
Lynn was awoken by her alarm at 5:15 a.m. and when she glanced over at her 120-pound Mastiff, Benton, she got a huge surprise.
Benton is so massive that he sleeps on a twin mattress — and on this particular morning, he was laying on top of a complete stranger!
At first, Lynn though the mystery guest was her son, but quickly realized it was a young man who somehow crept into her home in the middle of the night following his New Year’s Eve festivities.
“…These dogs are known to let somebody in the house and not let them out.”
Lynn couldn’t see the man’s face, but he was clearly sleeping in Benton’s bed. His shoes, wallet and glasses were strewn about the floor.
The women were too terrified to wake him up. Instead, they ran into the kitchen to grab a knife and called 911.
Once police arrived, the story unfolded. Yikes!
