Francesca, a teen from Natick, Massachusetts was heartbroken when her grandmother Roberta was diagnosed with COVID-19.

Considering her health and age, Roberta’s family knew her chances of surviving the virus were slim.

When it became clear that Roberta’s health was rapidly declining, Francesca’s mom Linda (Roberta’s daughter) called her to speak with her… one last time.

Even though Roberta could no longer respond, Linda just kept talking. She didn’t want to hang up. She didn’t want this to be the last time they’d ever speak.

Francesca was in the room when her mom called her grandmother, and she started filming the emotional phone call.

“I wanted to film something to have like a memory forever.”

“I just knew she could hear me and I knew, I didn’t want to say goodbye because I just didn’t want to scare her,” Linda told WHDH. “She was the best mother anyone would ever have and I miss her, I’m going to miss her.”’

Just hours later, Roberta passed away. And with her mom’s permission, Francesca shared her video to TikTok.

The clip below has now been viewed more than 15 million times.
