A major and historic mistake in Season 4 of Kurulus Osman: Showing Kantakouzenos as the (Crown/Sole Heir to the Throne)!! Historically the crown prince (prince/prince) “Michael” (11/IX) was the eldest son of Emperor Andronikos “II”. Michael took the throne and ruled the Byzantine Empire with his father.
“Michael” died in “1320 AD” while the play is showing the period of “1301 AD”.
There are two major historical and dramatic mistakes made here:
1 – Historical Error: Kantakouzenos was not Crown Prince “Michael” ruled the Byzantine Empire with his father
2 – Dramatic Error : “Michael” is only mentioned once in the play as the Crown Prince and is last seen in Season “2”, Episode #62 when Nicola visits the Emperor and there the Emperor Instead, his son “Michael” is present and “Nikola” is surprised to see him.
