Priyanka and Nick, George and Amal, Kim and Kanye…the list goes on.

Almost two years after announcing their engagement, Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz tied the knot in Palm Beach over the weekend. The ceremony took place at Nicola’s $100 million family estate, and based on the photos we’ve seen so far, it was quite the lavish affair.

Potential budget calculations have varied somewhat, although most reports estimate that Brooklyn and Nicola’s big day cost around $4 million.

The event’s supposed price tag generated a bit of criticism online, as watching two generationally wealthy public figures spend in excess, while war continues in Ukraine and economies struggle to recover from COVID-19, didn’t sit right with some people.

Theirs was far from the first celebrity wedding steeped in grandeur. Let’s look back at just a handful of the most extravagant:

1. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas

Priyanka and Nick were married at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India, in 2018. They celebrated with multiple ceremonies and three wedding receptions, which stretched across several days and welcomed around 200 guests. Two of the dresses that Priyanka wore took thousands of hours to embroider and create.
