15 Pairs of Celebs Who Look Like Identical Twins

A report says there are 1 in 135 chances that you have a doppelganger walking on this earth. Famous people are no exception to this rule and we often get confused between 2 actors or celebs. And it’s not just actors, even in real life it’s sometimes hard to differentiate between people because of uncanny similarities.

Here at Bright Side, it happened to us too. So we decided to create a list of celebrities who look like siblings.

1. Dane Cook and Skylar Astin

2. Isaac Mizrahi and JJ Abrams

3. Brittany Murphy and Lili Reinhart

4. Natalie Portman and Kiera Knightley

5. Sienna Miller and Mollie King

6. Melinda Clarke and Emma Stone

7. Daniel Radcliffe and Elijah Wood

8. Rachel Bilson and Selena Gomez

9. Rachel Bilson and Leighton Meester

10. Mila Kunis and Sarah Hyland

11. Kim Kardashian and Nicole Scherzinger

12. America Ferrara and Jordin Sparks

13. Kat Dennings and Scarlett Johansson

14. Javier Bardem and Jeffery Dean Morgan

15. Hilary Swank and Jennifer Garner

Wasn’t it confusing? Do you know any other pair of celebs who look the same but are not on the list? Feel free to drop the photos in the comments and don’t forget to share.

Jon and Kate Gosselin's Twins Mady and Cara Are Officially 18!

When Jon and Kate Gosselin welcomed sextuplets in 2004, they made headlines — and it wasn’t long before TLC offered the family a reality show. However, before Jon and Kate welcomed six babies at one time, they were the proud parents of twin girls, Madelyn (Mady) and Cara.

During their 11 seasons on Jon and Kate Plus 8, Mady and Cara were the perfect big sisters to their younger siblings,  Aaden, Alexis, Leah, Collin, Hannah, and Joel (now 14 years old). Fast forward to 2018, and it’s hard to believe that the girls are celebrating their 18th birthday.

“HAPPY 18th Birthday, Cara and Madelyn! There are no words to describe how proud I am of you both. Despite the many turbulent times you’ve had to deal with so far in life, you have emerged as wise, level-headed, reasonable, forgiving, loving, kind and absolutely brilliant ADULTS,” Kate captioned an emotional post on Instagram. “I can say that I’ve poured endless love into you and fought tooth and nail for the best for you, but I cannot possibly take credit for the truly wonderful humans (adult humans!) you have become! You will thrive in life, I am certain, and I will still be with you every step of the way going forward, continuing to guide you and love you. I love you both so very very much and I wish peace, happiness and the great successes I know are coming your way!”

Just like most teenage girls, Mady and Cara had their rebellious stage. Like that one time during an interview on The Today Show when they refused to respond to any questions. When asked by the host Savannah Guthrie if they were doing OK, they just sat their silently, prompting Kate to explain. “They get really frustrated that people assume certain things in our house and they always say, ‘But that’s not how it is, mommy. Why do they say that about us?”http://undefined/” Kate said at the time. “They’re just really regular, every day, awesome teenagers.”

Since then, they have changed a lot. Unfortunately, they are still practicing the silent treatment when it comes to their estranged father, who they no longer talk to. “He makes it seem like we’re being kept from him, which is insane,” Mady told People magazine. “He should maybe spend some time thinking about why we don’t want to see him, and maybe realize that if he ever does want a relationship with us, talking about us on TV is not the way to make that happen.”

She continued, “He doesn’t even know us. How can he dare to talk about us?” Ouch. However, that did not stop Jon from wishing his oldest daughters a happy birthday on social media… In Jon’s defense, he blames Kate for the estrangement.

“I see Mady,” he explained to Entertainment Tonight. “Like, when I drop the kids off, Mady comes down and I talk to her like, ‘Hey, how’s school?’ but they haven’t been to my house, or stayed at one of my houses, in three years. Regardless of what Mady and Cara said about me, I know they love me,” he adds. “I know my mom’s talked to them, so I know maybe there will be a relationship down the road, you know, when they’re adults and they figure out the truth.”

So, what’s next for Mady and Cara now that they are officially adults? Fans can watch out for the girls on their mom’s upcoming reality show, Kate Plus Date. “Now that they’re older and talking about dating and how they’re all gonna get married someday … it became apparent: they want someone for me. They want me to have somebody in my life,” Kate said of Mady and Cara’s involvement in the show.

Custody drama aside, with graduation just around the corner, Mady and Cara are busy preparing to go away for college — and Kate is already dreading the emotional moment. “My heart hurts because you’re almost adults and will soon leave for college, yet it smiles because I am seeing who you’ve become: brilliant, beautiful, kind, caring, logical, responsible, empathetic, honest, amazing individuals,” she wrote earlier this year. Someone get Kate a tissue ASAP!

Twin Sisters Lucy and Maria Turn 21 — and We Feel Old AF!

When Lucy and Maria Alymer were born, no one was more surprised than their parents, Donna and Vince. While Donna knew she was giving birth to twins, she never expected her newborn daughters to look so different.

Maria was born looking like her older siblings, with caramel complexion and dark curly hair, but Lucy came out with fair skin, red hair, bright blue eyes, and freckles. “It was a real shock for them because you don’t get to see stuff like skin on the scans that you undergo before giving birth,” Lucy said, per JumbleJoy. “They had no idea that we’d turn out so different, and they were completely speechless when the midwife handed us to them.”

Growing up, Donna dressed her girls in matching outfit like typical twins but people were still surprised to learn Lucy and Maria were related. When the twins turned 10 years old, Lucy decided it didn’t make sense to dress alike any longer. “We don’t look alike, so why should we have to wear the exact same thing,” Lucy explained to Inside Edition

Despite turning heads for their one-in-a-million twin status, growing up was not always easy for the London residents. Lucy reveals she was bullied by classmates. “They thought I was adopted,” she said, before tearfully adding, “They called me a ghost.”

Now 21, the sisters are closer than ever — and as different as they appear. Maria is currently studying psychology and law while Lucy is an art student.

“I think that we would have been closer as kids if we looked similar,” Lucy said. “But we had such different personalities as well. She was always outgoing, while I was always shy.”

On social media, followers instantly recognize the sisters, even if it has been a few years since they made international headlines. “I commented on your sister Lucy’s gram about an Inside Edition YouTube clip I discovered about your story. Quite amazing and wonderful,” one fan commented.

Another asked, “Do you ladies have a YouTube channel? Talking about your experiences growing up and such.” Seriously, this needs to happen ASAP.

So, how is one twin born white while the other is black?

Well, for starters the girls are mixed race (their mom is of Jamaican descent while their dad is Caucasian), so it’s pretty surprising that mixed race twins could come out looking completely different. Since their parents have a combination of alleles (or gene codes) for light and dark skin — one twin may have acquired more dark skin alleles while the other, for the most part, inherited light skin.

This means fraternal twins can vary dramatically in terms of physical appearance. And Lucy and Maria are definitely not the only black and white twins.

Marcia and Millie Biggs landed on the cover of National Geographic earlier this year for the magazine’s race issue. Like Lucy and Maria, one of their parents is white, the other of Jamaican descent.

“When they were first born,” their mom Amanda Wanklin recalled, “I would be pushing them in the pram, and people would look at me and then look at my one daughter and then look at my other daughter. And then I’d get asked the question: ‘Are they twins?”http://www.distractify.com/”http://www.distractify.com/”

“http://www.distractify.com/”But one’s white and one’s black.”http://www.distractify.com/”

“Yes. It’s genes.”

The magazine explained the genetic phenomenon even further, writing that the traits that emerge in each child depend on a lot of things, including “where the parents’ ancestors are from and complex pigment genetics.” Since skin color is not a “binary trait” with only two options (white or black), it can fall anywhere on a spectrum — thus: black and white twins.

And just like Lucy and Maria, Marcia and Millie are total opposites in more than just their looks.

“When people see us, they think that we’re just best friends,” Marcia says. “When they learn that we’re twins, they’re kind of shocked because one’s black and one’s white.”

She continued, “Millie likes things that are girlie. She likes pink and all of that. I don’t like the color pink; I’m a tomboy. People are made how they are.”

These Twins Used Their Yearbook As The Perfect Opportunity To Pull Off A Hilarious Gag

Growing up I always dreamed of having a clone so we could have each other’s backs. If I wanted to play hookie and sneak into a movie matinee, then my clone could cover for me when I went to class. If he wanted to be a real bad boy, he could enjoy family dinners while I chilled underneath my bed and read comic books.

I never really thought about what could go wrong with that plan or my parent’s inevitable discovery of my clone, but I just knew it’d be handy to have a doppelganger that I was cool with.

Not the other kind of clone who wanted to have me killed and ultimately replace my life, like in Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, that would suck.

I guess having a twin sibling is a lot like having a clone in certain situations and would be a lot more manageable than somehow materializing another version of yourself out of nowhere. If I had an identical twin brother I’m sure I could come up with some nifty uses for the circumstances of my birth.

Like Malcolm and Marcus Williams did on picture day.

When Marcus was sick back in high school, his brother, Malcolm, decided to step up to the plate and make sure his face was in the yearbook.

You know, because people think they share the same face, basically.

They had the entire thing planned out: Malcolm would be smiling in his photo. “Marcus” wouldn’t be.

They look so alike that it took students in their school a while to figure out that they weren’t the same person and just managed to get to different areas of the school very quickly.

Technically though, they’re not identical twins, and when you see them side to side, although you can definitely tell that they’re brothers, you can notice slight similarities between the two of them.

So they won’t have Sherlock Holmes fooled.

Some people began sharing their own “twin swap” stories. Like this one guy who worked with a dude who would send his twin to work whenever he was hungover. So good.

Other twins fessed up to pulling similar shenanigans.

For a lot of people, they’re just happy that twins are really taking advantage of the fact that they were born that way.

While others thought it was a golden opportunity to explore which “person” in the picture is liked more at first glance.

Marcus and Malcolm aren’t the first set of twins to use their school’s yearbook as a chance to pull something funny.

There’s these Drake & Josh loving brothers.

These Rick Rollers.

How I Met Your Mother fans would appreciate this one.

Twin-life 4 EVA.

Spongebob provides the best memes both on and off the internet.

These twins who gave a shout-out to Lil Jon.

This mustache double take.

The quote thief.

And these twins who enjoyed some playful ribbing.
